A wonderful find!
I thought I would share with you my wonderful find! Always on the lookout for something old, shabby, unique and original I found myself wandering around the Antiques Barn in Market Harborough, Northampton with a couple of friends and this large (really large!) cream shabby chic enamel jug jumped out at me so I just had to buy it.
It is a whopping 60cm tall and at its widest is 47cm. It has a really chunky handle and is such a great shape.
I knew exactly where to put it – in the corner of our day room on my shabby chic metal table and after weeks of searching for
the perfect flowers to put in it I plumped for some gorgeous artificial hydrangas from Gisela Graham and some eucalyptus
leaves which are such a fantastic duck egg green cloudy colour.
I took a closeup of the jug so you could see the wonderful embossed floral detail which adds a real touch of charm to it.
Underneath this unit I have put one of my personalised planters – which by the way makes a fantastic magazine storage box – you can fit 2 magazines in perfectly side by side.
It is a lovely eye catching jug and sometimes get used as a prop for piccies for the website.
By the way – did I say that it was half price. It must have been my lucky day!
