We have been given this fantastic lavender recipe from
Wendy who works in our admin department. Apparently
they are to die for!!
You will need -
125 grams (4 1/2oz) butter or margarine
100 grams (4oz sugar)
1 egg
150 – 200grams (5 – 7oz) self raising flour
1 level tbsp dired English lavender flowers
(it is essential to use English lavender with no camphor
scent)
1 small cup (1/4 to 1/3 cup) chopped candied ginger (optional)

Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well. Add dried lavender flowers and mix well. Add ginger here (if required). Finally, add sieved s/r flour and mix well. Place teaspoonfuls on a baking tray lined with non-stick paper and bake in a pre-heated over (325 degrees) for 15 – 20 minutes. Makes approx. 30 biscuits.Then put the kettle on, make yourself a cup of tea and chill. Enjoy!
